Stop Making These 5 Common Brow Mistakes

Sometimes, it’s not the product—it’s the technique. Even with the best tools in the world, a few simple slips can make your brows look "off." Here are the top 5 mistakes our TBT pros see, and how to fix them instantly:
-
Choosing a Shade Too Dark: Your brows should usually be one shade lighter than your hair if you’re a brunette, and one shade darker if you’re a blonde. Picking a shade that's too dark can make your features look harsh.
-
The "Boxy" Start: Natural brows aren't solid squares at the beginning. Use a light touch and flick upward to keep the inner corners soft and diffused.
-
Over-Extending the Tail: If you bring the tail of your brow too low, it can actually "pull" your eyes down, making you look tired. Always aim the tail toward the top of your ear.
-
Applying Over Oily Skin: If your skin is freshly moisturized or oily, the pigment won't grab. Always wipe your brow area with a dry cotton pad before applying your product.
The Fix? If you’ve made a mistake, don’t panic. Use a spoolie to brush through the hair and soften any harsh lines before the product sets! Too much product = loss of definition.
