Stop Making These 5 Common Brow Mistakes

Sometimes, it’s not the product—it’s the technique. Even with the best tools in the world, a few simple slips can make your brows look "off." Here are the top 5 mistakes our TBT pros see, and how to fix them instantly:

  1. Choosing a Shade Too Dark: Your brows should usually be one shade lighter than your hair if you’re a brunette, and one shade darker if you’re a blonde. Picking a shade that's too dark can make your features look harsh.

  2. The "Boxy" Start: Natural brows aren't solid squares at the beginning. Use a light touch and flick upward to keep the inner corners soft and diffused.

  3. Over-Extending the Tail: If you bring the tail of your brow too low, it can actually "pull" your eyes down, making you look tired. Always aim the tail toward the top of your ear.

  4. Applying Over Oily Skin: If your skin is freshly moisturized or oily, the pigment won't grab. Always wipe your brow area with a dry cotton pad before applying your product.

The Fix? If you’ve made a mistake, don’t panic. Use a spoolie to brush through the hair and soften any harsh lines before the product sets! Too much product = loss of definition.
